Our home. Real mountains, breathtaking landscapes, clean air.
Our home. Here we can't go wrong — we know it inside out, from the most famous Dolomites to trails you won't find on any map, from alpine huts to hidden lakes. If you're looking for real mountains, breathtaking landscapes and clean air, start here.
The Dolomites were recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009 for their exceptional natural value. Trentino-Alto Adige is one of the few regions in Europe where three official languages coexist — Italian, German and Ladin — and where the mountain is not just scenery, but culture, tradition and the identity of an entire people.
You want to visit the Dolomites because they are, objectively, magnificent… but you are afraid of ending up with sky-high prices and endless tourist queues?
We grew up among these mountains and can help you experience the most iconic places in the Dolomites the right way: trying to avoid the large tourist crowds as much as possible, or taking you to places you simply cannot find online.
When most people think of Trentino Alto Adige, they always think of the same places: Lake Braies, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Val Gardena. Spectacular places, no doubt. But in summer they often mean queues at 6am, full car parks and trails as crowded as a city centre walk.
They are still worth seeing, and we can help you do so without the chaos. But we can also take you elsewhere: on trails where for hours all you hear is the wind.
Trentino Alto Adige is a border territory in every sense: cultural, linguistic and historical. Italian, German and Ladin are all spoken here. The houses are reminiscent of Austria and the roads tell centuries of encounters between different peoples: Habsburg, Latin and Ladin, each leaving something behind.
The cuisine tells the story well too: it is not just 'Italian' in the classic sense, but a deeper and more ancient mix. Canederli, polenta, strudel, mountain cheeses, speck, sauerkraut, goulash, apple fritters… simple dishes full of history.
Here the mountain is not a backdrop, it is the protagonist. It takes you along trails that end at lakes that look like mirrors, silent forests and landscapes where you can encounter deer, chamois, eagles and other incredible animals.
And then there are the small villages, where time moves more slowly: morning markets, festivals with long tables, snowshoeing in winter, mushroom foraging in September, and at sunset the mountains turning pink.
When to go? Summer: wonderful, but July and August are the busiest months. June or September is better. Autumn: probably the most underrated period, with golden larches and silent valleys. Winter: snow, skiing and Christmas markets, but knowing where to go makes all the difference. Spring: flowering meadows, mountain huts reopening and trails coming back to life.
Every trip we organise is tailor-made: you tell us the days, the pace and what you really want to experience. We do not offer standard itineraries, but our land seen through our eyes.
