The island has such different microclimates that in less than an hour's drive you can go from a prehistoric forest to an almost lunar landscape of black lava.

Sometimes the most beautiful trips are born completely by chance.
My adventure in Tenerife began exactly like that, in a totally unexpected way. I was in Italy and was using BlaBlaCar to travel from one city to another. During that journey I found myself in a car with an Italian woman who lived in Tenerife and worked there as a diving instructor.
I have always been in love with the ocean, the sea and everything connected to the underwater world. So, after talking with her for hours about diving, island life and the ocean floor, without overthinking it I decided with a friend to book a flight and head off to do a diving course.
And I believe it was one of the most spontaneous and beautiful decisions I have ever made.
We spent ten days on the island living practically between the ocean, wetsuits and sunsets over the Atlantic. The days started early, between theory lessons and dives, and ended exhausted but extremely happy, with that incredible feeling the sea leaves you with when you spend hours underwater.
I still remember the first real dive perfectly. The total silence, the sound of breathing through the regulator and that sensation of entering a world completely different from our own. It felt almost unreal.
Tenerife is an island with an incredibly varied nature. In just a few kilometres you go from black volcanic beaches to the almost lunar landscapes of the Teide, all the way to green forests and immense cliffs that plunge into the ocean.
During the dives we saw rays, turtles and a huge variety of tropical fish.
It was wonderful to follow an impulse without planning too much, and this is precisely what I love about travelling: sometimes all it takes is a coincidence, a conversation in a car with a stranger, to completely change your plans and give you an experience you will never forget.
If you too dream of doing a diving course or want to discover Tenerife in a more authentic way, between the ocean, nature and local life, you can book a free call with me. Or if you simply want to organise a few days on the island, I will be happy to help you.
